Hey there, I’m Rachel, a senior in high school who LOVES dressing up and getting ready for big prom events! Hi everyone! Thought I would share a cool site with you. I was cleaning out my closet and found my prom dress from last year. I was going to bring it to goodwill, but my friend told me about www.donatemydress.org. You can go to their site and find dress donation charities in your area to give your prom dress to. They even take bridesmaid dresses! I found a place near me to drop my dress off at and help out a great cause. If you have any old prom dresses that you will never wear again, you might want to check it out! -Louisa

Choose a prom shoe style that is comfortable and that you absolutely love. Here are a few things to consider:
Have a plain prom dress? You may want to dress up your prom dress by wearing shoes with some bling.
Is your date is the same height as you? Choose a pair of flats!
Prom is on a boat or outside under a tent? Wedges work best to avoid getting your heels stuck in the grass!

Most prom gowns are floor-length and almost always completely cover the heel. Therefore, high heels are not a requirement. Heel Heights
When you purchase p
rom shoes with a 2 3/4 inch heel it actually measures closer to 3 inches. This is because the shoe industry measures shoe heel heights to the inside of the heel and not the back of the heel. When ordering prom shoes, a good rule of thumb is to add at least 1/2 inch to the listed heel height.
The size of your shoes will change your shoe’s heel height. As the size of your shoes get larger, the heel height will get proportionally higher to accommodate for the size difference. In other words, a size 11 shoe will have a higher heel height than the same shoe in a size 6.
